01. The Vision

I collaborated closely with fine artist and children's book illustrator Angela Menzies to create a thoughtful, modern digital home for her practice. An artist’s website should serve as a subtle, supportive framework—one that steps back to let the work, vision, and unique artistic voice take center stage. The main goal was to design an inviting space where collectors, publishers, and art lovers can easily explore her portfolio and connect with her work.

02. Curated Architecture & Showcase

To make Angela's work intuitive to explore, I organized the site into a clear, seamless structure (Home, Collect, Portfolio, Books, Commissions, About, and Contact). We created dedicated spaces for her original paintings, cards, prints, and published children's books—highlighting interior spread illustrations alongside details for each title. Clear pricing, availability status, direct email details, and a dedicated newsletter signup make it simple for visitors to stay connected and inquire about purchases, commissions, or studio visits.

03. Multi-Device Layout & Browsing Experience

Angela’s portfolio should feel effortless to explore no matter how a visitor finds it. I carefully fine-tuned the site's structure, gallery layouts, and overall navigation across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens so visitors enjoy a smooth browsing experience across all pages.

04. Scalability

To ensure Angela can easily update her website as her practice evolves, I built the site using flexible, modular templates. Through a walkthrough training session, she learned how to comfortably add new artwork, and manage her platform independently moving forward.
